The Zimbabwe National Statistical Agency through the Department of Immigration collects information on people who arrive in and those who depart from Zimbabwe through the official ports of entry and exit. Data are collected using Port Returns for visitors from abroad, returning residents and exitors. Collection of data on immigrants is done using the immigration statistical card.

Third Quater 2023- International Migration Statistics
The country received a total of 1,125,011 arrivals during the third quarter of 2023. Returning residents from abroad (46.3%) constituted the highest proportion of arrivals during the third quarter of 2023. The number of immigrants increased to 196 in the third quarter of 2023 from 124 immigrants recorded in the third quarter of 2022.
There were 469,752 visitors from abroad who came to Zimbabwe during the third quarter of 2023 compared to 320,238 in the third quarter of 2022 representing an increase of 46.7 percent.
